Vice Chairperson

Banu Aksoy is the Vice Chairperson of Aksoy Holding and Turcas Holding along with their controlled subsidiaries. She is a Member of the Risk Management Committee since 2010 and she serves as an Executive Board Member at Aksoy Holding, Aksoy Real Estate Investments, Aksoy International Trade, Conrad Istanbul Bosphorus, Aksoy International Holding, Aksoy USA Holdings, and all of which are related companies and legal entities. Having worked at the Eurasia Business Development Division of ConocoPhillips between 1998 and 2000, Ms. Aksoy also serves as a Member of the Board at Shell Petrol, one of Group subsidiaries.

Banu Aksoy is dedicated to social investment initiatives and collaborates with various non-governmental organizations. She also serves as the Chairperson of the “Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee” within the company. Both Turcas and Aksoy Holding are signatories of the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs). She actively oversees the integration of gender equality practices into corporate processes and ensures their effective implementation. She is a Member of Endeavor Association.

Following her graduation from The Koç University Faculty of Business Administration in 1997, she completed a Finance Extension program at the University of California at Berkeley.

Erdal AKSOY
Founding Chairperson

Erdal Aksoy has been the Founding Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Aksoy Holding since 1978. Mr. Aksoy also serves as the Chairperson of the controlled subsidiaries Turcas Holding, Aksoy Real Estate Investments and Aksoy International Trade, the Vice Chairperson of Conrad Istanbul Bosphorus Hotel. Mr. Aksoy is at the same time a Founding Board Member at the group subsidiary Shell & Turcas Petrol.

Erdal Aksoy is a Member of TUSIAD (Turkish Industry and Business Association), Vice Chairperson of PODEM (Public Policy and Democracy Studies), a Member of the Advisory Board of TESEV (Turkish Economic and Social Studies Foundation), and Member of the Board of Trustees of the Azerbaijan Diplomacy Academy (ADA). Erdal Aksoy had served as a Member of the Board of TISK (Confederation of Turkish Employers Union) and Chairperson of the Turkish Shipowners and Employers Union in the past. Erdal Aksoy, for a period, was the Istanbul Provincial Head of the Motherland Party (ANAP), and the President of Sarıyer Sports Club.

Erdal Aksoy, an Electrical & Electronics Engineering Graduate of Istanbul Technical University (1966), speaks fluent English, and is married with two children and has three grandchildren.

Batu Aksoy was born in 1977 in Istanbul. He started his career immediately after graduating from The Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, USA) in 1998 with a B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Mr. Aksoy is a second-generation family business operator at Aksoy Holding of Türkiye, a prominent and diversified group of companies with investments in fuel retail, power generation, hospitality, real estate, and international trade industries.

Mr. Aksoy has been leading the growth, transformation and diversification of Aksoy Holding as its CEO & Vice Chairperson since the early 2000’s, engaging the Group in long term, successful equity partnerships and/or management agreements with top-notch global enterprises establishing branded assets at all its business units. He has extensive M&A, JV, business strategy and ground-up development and investment experience in the oil & energy as well as real estate & hospitality industries.

Leading subsidiaries of Aksoy Holding at which Mr. Aksoy holds the positions of either Chairperson, Vice Chairperson or Member of the Board are; Aksoy Holding, Turcas Holding (BIST:TRCAS), Shell & Turcas Petrol, RWE & Turcas Power, Conrad Istanbul Bosphorus Hotel, The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Bodrum, Aksoy International Holding, Continuum Club & Residences, Miami, Aksoy Real Estate Company (Türkiye), and Aksoy International Trade.

Batu Aksoy has also been actively taking on civic, nonprofit and NGO roles throughout his career. He is:

  • The Honorary Consul of The Republic of Chile in Istanbul,
  • A Member of TUSIAD (Turkish Industry and Business Association) where he served as a Board Member between 2015-2022,
  • A Board Member of the Turkish-US Business Council (TAIK), and the Turkish-Chile Business Council under DEIK (Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye),
  • A Member of Dean’s Advisory Board at The Johns Hopkins University’s (JHU) Whiting School of Engineering, which proceeded his 5-year Board Membership at the Dean’s Advisory Counsel of JHU’s Carey Business School,
  • The Former Chairperson of ETD, Energy Traders Association of Türkiye, and
  • The Former Chairperson of PETFORM, Petroleum and Natural Gas Platform Association of Türkiye.


Mr. Aksoy is married with a son and a daughter.

Dilek Bektaş Esenler began her career in 1988 and has nearly 40 years of experience in service operations and B2B sales. Throughout her career, she has held leadership roles in domestic and international real estate projects.

She joined Aksoy Holding in 2019 and currently serves as Director of Sales & Leasing.

Dilek Esenler Bektaş born in 1969, is a graduate of Uludağ University, Department of Tourism and Hotel Management.

Dilek Esenler Bektaş born in 1969, is a graduate of Uludağ University, Department of Tourism and Hotel Management.

Ali Aydın began his career in 2001 and has nearly 25 years of experience in finance, accounting, and asset management. Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles in finance-focused projects within the hospitality sector.

He joined Aksoy Holding in 2024 and currently serves as Hotel Asset Manager.

Born in 1970, Ali Aydın is a graduate of the Department of Business Administration at Istanbul University and the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management at Anadolu University.

Legal Manager

Hande Komorosano began her career in 2012 and has has nearly 15 years of experience in the field of law. Throughout her career, she has held leadership roles at reputable law firms and industry-leading corporate companies.

She joined Aksoy Holding in 2025 and currently serves as Legal Manager.

Born in 1987, Hande Komorosano is a graduate of Yeditepe University, Faculty of Law and holds a master’s degree in International Commercial Law from City St George’s, University of London.

Real Estate Development Manager

Filiz Kırsakal began her career in 2001 and has nearly 25 years of experience in multinational organizations, specializing in real estate development, retail strategy development, store network planning, market research, and investment feasibility studies. She has held leadership roles in retail development, shopping center (re)development, leasing, and national and international real estate projects.

She joined Aksoy Holding in 2024 and currently serves as Real Estate Development Manager.

Born in 1977, Filiz Kırsakal holds a bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Middle East Technical University and a master’s degree in Urban Design from the same institution.

Financial Control, Budget and Reporting Manager

İlke Gültekin began her career in 2006 and has nearly 20 years of experience in accounting, finance, budgeting, and financial reporting. She has held leadership roles in managing financial control, budgeting, and reporting processes across multinational corporations and the real estate sector.

She specializes in TFRS / IFRS and US GAAP reporting, audit coordination, and financial process improvements.

She joined Aksoy Holding in 2023 and currently serves as Financial Control, Budgeting, and Reporting Manager.

Born in 1984, İlke Gültekin is a graduate of Istanbul University, Department of Economics.

Corporate Treasury Manager

Nihal Turgut began her career in 2007 and has nearly 20 years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, and investor relations. She has held leadership roles in the fields of finance, corporate treasury and investor relations.

She joined Aksoy Holding in 2021 and currently serves as Corporate Treasury Manager

Born in 1983, Nihal Turgut is a graduate of Marmara University, Department of Econometrics and completed a Master’s degree in Financial Markets and Investment Management at the same institution.

Arif ŞAHİN
Corporate Finance and Investor Relations Manager

Arif Şahin began his career in 2010 and has over 15 years of experience in project & structured finance and corporate finance. He has held leadership roles in the fields of corporate finance and investor relations.

He joined Aksoy Holding in 2018 and currently serves as Corporate Finance and Investor Relations Manager.

Born in 1988, Arif Şahin is a graduate of Yıldız Technical University, Department of Geomatics Engineering and completed an MBA degree from Istanbul Technical University.

Engin Çaylan began his career in 1997 and has nearly 30 years of experience in accounting. He has held leadership roles in management of accounting processes.

Cem Sever began his career in 1999 and has nearly 30 years of experience in procurement, administrative affairs, and investment project management. Within holding and group company structures, he has undertaken leadership roles in central procurement, contract, and supply chain management processes across various sectors, primarily including construction, hospitality, energy, and commercial investments.

He joined Aksoy Holding in 2016 and currently serves as Procurement and Administrative Affairs Manager.

Born in 1979, Cem Sever is a graduate of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality at Marmara University.

Corporate Communications & Marketing Manager

Seda Gürsoy Ünlü began her career in 2008 and has nearly 20 years of experience in strategic corporate communications, sustainability communications, and stakeholder engagement.

Throughout her career, she has worked globally operating organizations, holding roles across corporate communications, marketing, sustainability, media relations, and executive communications. Her background in both agency environments and the financial sector enables her to develop and manage communication strategies for complex, multi-stakeholder organizations.

She joined Aksoy Holding in 2018 and currently serves as Corporate Communications and Marketing Manager, leading brand management, strategic communications planning, and sustainability communications.

Born in 1986, Seda Gürsoy Ünlü is a graduate of the Department of International Relations at İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent University.

Mert GÖKNAR
Finance Director

Mert Göknar began his career in 2008 and has nearly 20 years of experience in all areas of corporate finance (M&A, Project Finance, Valuation & Business Modelling) and finance functions (Corporate Finance, Investor Relations, Accounting & Tax, Corporate Treasury). He has managed several corporate finance projects having leadership roles at international advisory firms and executive roles at both Corporate Finance & general Finance functions at large corporate organizations.

He joined Aksoy Holding in 2021 and currently serves as Finance Director.

Born in 1984, Mert Göknar is a graduate of the Department of Industrial Engineering at Middle East Technical University and holds an MBA degree from Bilkent University.

Elif KIRANKABEŞ
People & Culture Director

Elif Kırankabeş began her career in 1998 and has nearly 30 years of experience in the strategic management of human resources functions within companies and holding structures operating across different sectors. Throughout her career, she has held leadership roles in people & culture transformation initiatives and the implementation of human resources strategies.

She joined Aksoy Holding in 2010 and currently serves as People & Culture Director, primarily leading strategic human resources management, as well as corporate communications, marketing, sustainability, quality, environment, and occupational health & safety processes.

Born in 1975, Elif Kırankabeş is a graduate of the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling at Middle East Technical University.

CLO/Chief Legal Officer

Ayşe Dirik began her career in 2001 at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg and has over 25 years of professional experience. She has worked at prestigious law firms within banking & finance and mergers and acquisitions departments, taking part in numerous national and international investment projects. In 2013, she transitioned into the corporate in-house legal field, where she assumed senior leadership roles as Chief Legal Counsel at some of Turkey’s leading holdings.

She joined Aksoy Holding in 2025 and currently serves as Chief Legal Officer (CLO), acting as a strategic leader responsible for legal affairs, compliance, and corporate governance.

Born in 1977, Ayşe Dirik is a graduate of Marmara University Faculty of Law and holds an LL.M. in Banking, Finance, and Corporate Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She is a certified coach from the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI) and is currently pursuing a degree in Philosophy at Istanbul University Open Education Faculty.

Kerem ZEREN
Chief Operating Officer (COO) Real Estate & Hospitality

Kerem Zeren began his career in 2000 and has over 25 years of experience in Residential, Commercial and Retail Real Estate Developments and Asset Management. He has held leadership roles in M&A transactions and in real estate development projects totaling more than 1 million square meters, including residential compounds, shopping centers and high-rise commercial office buildings.

He joined Aksoy Holding in 2022 and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer, responsible for the Group’s Real Estate and Hospitality operations.

Born in 1978, Kerem Zeren holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Istanbul Technical University and an MBA degree from San Diego State University, USA.

Chief Operating Officer (COO) International Trade & Value Development

Semih Genç began his career in 1987 and has nearly 40 years of experience in marketing and sales management, import-export, logistics, project management, international trade and business development. He has held leading roles in feasibility and business development studies in the global export and distribution of lubricants.

He joined Aksoy Holding in 2021 and currently serves as Operations Director, overseeing the Group’s International Trade & Business Development and IT operations.

Born in 1962, Semih Genç is graduate of Istanbul University’s Faculty of Economics and holds an Executive MBA degree from Koç University.

Erkan İlhantekin began his career in 2005 and has over 20 years of experience in project and structured finance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and capital markets. Starting his career in investment banking, he has held leadership roles across corporate finance, investor relations, corporate treasury, accounting and financial control, as well as budgeting and reporting functions.

He joined Aksoy Holding in 2010 and currently serves as Group CFO.

Born in 1979, Erkan İlhantekin has a graduate degree in Political Science and Public Administration and a minor degree in Economics from Middle East Technical University. Mr. Ilhantekin holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance from the University of York / UK.
